Darlington News - Omer W. Jones, 47, former local resident died at Martinsville from injuries received in a fall while painting, He was employed by his brother, Jap Jones, prominent democrat politician. The deceased was born in Johnson County but was left an orphan when young. He was reared here in the home of his uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Noah Brock. Surviving are the widow; two brothers and two sisters. Funeral services were held at Martinsville at the home of Jap Jones with interment at Greenwood. – kbz
